The Gastonian ADA Statement
At The Gastonian, it’s important to us that our website is accessible and easy to use for all persons with disabilities. When creating our website, our development team used software tools to identify web accessibility standards as outlined by the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA).
While the industry is not operating from approved, regulated legislation, The Gastonian is committed to our good faith effort to follow the guidelines available. Built in 1868
The two buildings that comprise The Gastonian were built in 1868, and are registered with the Historic Savannah Foundation as authentic historic properties. Consistent with the architectural norms of the time of construction, there are many steps outside of and within The Gastonian, and some guests with mobility issues will find them challenging. We do not have an elevator, but please count on us to gladly assist you with your bags. If you wish to enjoy breakfast in your room, we are happy to offer room service.
If you are concerned about personally navigating the steps, we are happy to help you select a room that will work for you. Just give us a call at 912-232-2869 and we'll talk you through the layout of the rooms available during your stay. Or, if you prefer a historic hotel with an elevator, we are happy to assist you with reservations at our sister properties that do have an elevator: Marshall House, East Bay Inn, or The Kehoe House.
